Unguis Series: Hasta

from 415.00

Something about a name that isn't the same? Yes - you're right. These look very familiar...

The word Unguis is from the middle Latin meaning "talon". The word Hasta means "spear". While these rings are based off of my good old, good old, these have been redesigned entirely. The stones used here are of my own conception, entirely, and cut by two of the most talented lapidary artists I know. They have a wonderful simplified faceted dome and dramatic lengths. The materials in these stones are almost double the weight of my Acicula design. Each of these rings will have it's own fancy bezel and a minimum of 3 prongs for added stone security and design interest. Every month will have it's own band design. This month's band is made after the look of corrugated cardboard. Of course, I will also honor a request for my original feathered band (the one with two overlaid feathers). Please be aware that each ring will have it's own unique bezel, to highlight the individual stone. Please note: The bezel will cover parts of the stone. The stone will not look exactly as it does when it's unset. These are being released in small batches only. They are, as always, constructed by me, entirely by hand, out of fine and sterling silver using the finest cuts of hand selected stones.

Due to the bands being approximately 1/2" wide, I strongly suggest sizing up from your regular finger size to ensure a comfortable fit. You know your finger best, but I recommend a half to a whole size up. Returns will not be accepted on made to order rings, so please double check your ring size prior to ordering. Please note your desired size and band choice and email me at marina@stonesparrowdesign.com with any questions.

Please see all photos to understand the lengths of the stones. They range from dramatic to extremely dramatic. Please use common sense when wearing these - they are meant for fashion wear, not for wear while doing housework, exercising, child care or to be used as weapons. ;) The stones being offered in this batch are:

Turquoise: 2 6/8", made to order

Pietersite: 3 1/16", made to order (please note: this stone has small pits toward the base. This does not effect the stone's stability at all - I find it to add to the unique beauty of this material. The pits are the rust colored spots on the wide end)

Cuprite: 2 7/8", made to order

Amazonite: 2 6/8", made to order

Pink Opal: ready to ship, size 8 (best suits a size 7 - 7.5) 2 3/4" long

Please allow 15 - 45 days for the completion of all made to order items from the date of purchase. While I will have them completed as soon as possible, I would prefer to have you pleasantly surprised by swiftness, than upset at a day or two delay.

No payment plans will be considered for made to order items.

By purchasing from Stone Sparrow Design, it is implied that you have read and understand all policies set forth in the policies page of this website.

Thank you! XOXO Marina
