Goddess Series "Atropos"

500.00

The Goddess Series is inspired by Greek Mythology, which I feel very attached to, being of Greek heritage. I will spare you all of the details of each goddess's story, but I highly encourage you to read some mythology if you are drawn to these pieces. Each element I've added intentionally, derived from their stories.

My interpretation of Atropos - a goddess of fate and destiny along and with her sisters, known as the Moirai, the Fates, or daughters of the night. Atropos chose the inevitability of mortal death as her power. She wears a necklace shaped like the symbol of the goddess. The top stone is an Ethiopian Welo opal, the center is an Australian black opal with a brilliant red flash and the bottom is a stunning, translucent and flashy Ammolite from Canada. My luck was not with the light, so I cannot capture the beauty of the stones used in this piece. If Atropos is for you, you will be shocked at how beautiful they are in life. She is constructed of 5 separate layers of hand cut fine and sterling silver, with an additional layer of brass. She is suspended from 18" of chain with a lobster clasp.
