George Kalodimas, bn. 1983 in Sparta, Greece and raised in Athens.
Kalodimas started as a tattoo apprentice in 2005 and he got into geometric art and tattooing in 2007. Since his beginning, he has achieved notoriety and has accumulated more than 50 awards at international tattoo conventions in Europe, the USA, and Asia. After founding the Sake Tattoo Crew in Greece, he moved to New York in 2021 to join the roster of artists at South Shore Tattoo in New York.
In 2023 Kalodimas opened his own private studio, the As Above Tattoo in Amityville, New York.
Kalodimas is world-renowned for his spiritual mandalas and sold-out Solstice Mandala book which is based on his project of designing one mandala every day for an entire solstice. He has published five more sketchbooks since and has issued many sold out limited-edition screen prints. He is currently preparing his second hardcover book, “The Ten Years of Solstice.” During the pandemic, George expanded his repitoire with ink and watercolor on paper, creating a new body of original works on paper.
George and his wife Aleksandra travel the world, exploring the planet and seeking adventures.
